This is a song I wrote for my future wife (wherever she might be). I've actually never truly been in love before so this is the closest I've ever written to a "love song". I call it a "promise-to-love song".
My dear friend Wendy Wang (The Sweet Hurt) helped me with this demo. We recorded it one afternoon in her living room. I actually dozed off after finishing my parts and when I awoke Wendy had finished the song! I like it a lot.
A few of my friends actually made music videos for "But I Will, Everyday". Check them out:
This one is by my pal Justin Chon. He shot this on an iPhone. Be sure to check out Justin as the lead in the comedy "21 & Over" out this Spring, March 1, 2013.
One of us was waiting around for no one else
I've got enough, well I guess for now
With a brick on the balance, but too little to weigh a reason down
I've got a lot to figure out, so it seems
But I'll love you and you and you alone
I won't have to tell you what you'd already know
But I will, everyday
We just have to find a way to meet each other
So much for wasted time, and all of the drinking alone
Buying the bullets without a gun
I want the feelings, I want a part in your life
I want to pair your hand, your hand with mine
And I want to love you and you and you alone
I don't have to tell you what you already know
But you know I will, everyday
We just have to find our way to meet each other
